Design prototype — site mockup for review · App in development for iPhone & Android

See what's priced over or under comp.

Find a deal on any table.

Photograph a whole display case or table of cards — up to a few dozen at once. CaseComp identifies every card, reads each dealer's price tag, and hands your photo back with real sold comps pinned to every card: tag, comp, and the gap. No more laps around the show doing math in your head.

Built for real show tables — messy ones: raw cards, slabs, Sharpie stickers, dot stickers, and tags stuck on the back.

SCAN RESULT · MIXED TABLE · 15 CARDS TAGS $110.50 read · TAP A CARD FOR DETAIL

An example CaseComp scan — a mixed basketball table, shot rotated and uneven, the way show tables actually look. The steal and the overpriced card in this table were both caught.

How it works

One photo in. Every price checked.

CaseComp is a still-photo job, not live AR. A scan takes a few minutes — deep breath, look at another table — and a push notification tells you when it's ready.

STEP 1

Snap or upload

Photograph a case section or table spread — about 24 cards per shot reads best. Or upload a photo or screenshot, like an online lot listing.

STEP 2

Every card identified

Each card is cropped, straightened, and identified exactly — year, set, player, parallel, raw or slabbed with grade. Price tags are read too, handwriting and all.

STEP 3

Real comps pulled

Sold prices — never asking prices — matched to that exact card and grade, with the sample size, time window, and price range shown on every number.

STEP 4

Deals ranked for you

Your photo returns with a compact chip on each card, plus a ranked deal list: biggest dollars under comp first, and the case total vs. the tag total.

One scan · two lenses

The same result, from either side of the counter

Shoppers see deals. Dealers flip the same scan into pricing and buying tools — no re-scan, ever. Try the dealer lens on the example table above:

Your comp settings, your call

Change any of these on a finished scan and every price re-runs from cached sales — no re-scan, and it never uses up a scan.

Source

eBay Sold · Card Ladder · Both (blended, with each source still visible on tap — blending never hides the inputs)

Time window

7 / 30 / 90 / 180 / 365 days — 90 is the default. No sale in the window? That one card quietly steps up the ladder until sales appear — and its label says so.

Basis

Last Sale (with its date) or Average — median and the p25–p75 range are always one tap away.

Built in, one tap from anywhere — for % of comp math, lot splits, and adding up a stack by hand.

The whole point

Honest comps, or no number at all

Anyone can put a price on a card. CaseComp's job is to put the right price on it — or admit there isn't one. These rules don't bend:

Exact match only

Same year, set, parallel, and grade — PSA is never swapped for SGC, raw is never swapped for graded, and a card is never comped against a lot. The traps that sink other scanners get caught here.

Every number shows its work

Source, sample size, time window, and price range ride along with every comp — "median of 12 solds, 90 days," never a bare number with false confidence. Fewer than 3 sales? It's flagged THIN.

NO COMP

"No comp" is a real answer

If there's no sale for that exact card in two full years, the card says so. The gap is never filled with a wrong grade, a wrong parallel, or an asking price dressed up as a comp.

The fallback ladder

No sale inside your chosen window? Only that card steps up — every other card keeps your window, and the label shows the window actually used.

7d→30d→90d→180d→365d→2 yrs
EST ~$10–20

Estimates are ranges, labeled

When no comp exists, an estimate may appear — always a range, never a point, always with its basis spelled out, and never mixed into firm totals. Lot results always show FIRM and WITH ESTIMATES side by side.

Unsure means it asks you

A tag that might say $1 or $100, a parallel that might be Glitter or Scope, a Pokémon finish that glare makes doubtful — CaseComp flags it and lets you pick. Your tap re-prices instantly. A confident guess is a failure, not a feature.

Built for real tables

Made for the messy median case

Most cards at a show sit in the $3–$20 range, in uneven rows, with every kind of sticker imaginable. That's the target CaseComp is tuned to — not a tidy grid of slabs.

EVERYONE

Circle the cards you want

Care about 4 cards in a 30-card spread? Draw a loop around them with your finger — only those get scanned, counted, and priced. No loop means scan everything.

EVERYONE

Tag on the back? Covered.

Dealers sticker backs all the time. A card with no tag on the front shows its comp with a clear NO TAG marker — and front + back photo pairs are matched by the card's printed numbers, never by position alone.

EVERYONE

Never sideways, never glare-blind

Every scan is auto-rotated upright. Capture tips appear at the moment they matter, and glare covering a card's name or number prompts a quick retake from another angle — inside the same scan.

PRO

Lot mode

Upload a lot listing photo: every card is comped individually, then totaled against the asking price — with $/card and the value-carriers list, so you can see if a lot is two chase cards and eighteen commons.

PRO

Saved folder

Keep the scans that matter: annotated photo, per-card comps, verdicts, and totals — labeled with the scan date, because saved comps are a snapshot, not live prices.

COMING LATER

Meta glasses companion

Down the road: capture a case through your glasses and hear the verdict — "3 deals in this case, best is $35 under" — with the annotated photo on your phone. The phone stays the engine.

Dealer lens

Selling? The same scan works your side too

There is no "dealer tier." The dealer lens is a view included with Pro — Power User adds the deeper workflow tools on top.

PRO

Price My Table

Suggested tags two ways — priced-to-move at the comp median, priced-to-max at the top of the range — rounded to natural price points, with the basis labeled on every suggestion.

PRO

Make an Offer

One pay percentage — say 70% of comp — turns any finished scan into an offer on every card plus one total. It lives on the results screen, because the scan already happened.

PRO

Worth Grading & Crack Candidates

Scan raw cards and see the PSA scenario math — net at each grade and the breakeven grade. And when a slab's raw copies outsell the slab itself, it gets flagged as a possible buy-and-crack — caveat about the hidden defect always attached.

PRO

HOT — only when it's earned

A card wears the HOT badge only with a firm comp, at least 20 sales in 30 days, a sample of 10+, and a rising trend — with the evidence printed next to it. Trending rows by sport (basketball, football, baseball, hockey) run on the same strict gates.

POWER USER

Trade Balancer

Tap cards into Theirs and Mine piles; both total at comp, an optional trade rate is printed beside the totals, and the cash-to-even line does the awkward math for you.

POWER USER

Inventory, Case Health & Buying List

Build a searchable inventory from your scans (bulk photo upload included), get flagged on stale tags and dead stock, and keep a standing buying list that pre-computes your offer whenever a match walks up.

Where it stands

Engine now in build.

CaseComp is in development for iPhone and Android — one app, one scanning pipeline, and pricing built around real sold comps.

Done

Core experience & comp rules

The scan flow, honest-comp rules, and pricing are defined: exact card and grade matching, real sold prices only, and a clear NO COMP answer when there isn’t a defensible comp.

In build

The app & pipeline

iOS + Android app on one codebase, with the backend live: card detection, ID, tag reading, and comp lookup wired to real sold data — including actual accepted Best Offer prices, not the inflated public numbers.

Next

Closed beta at real shows

TestFlight and Google Play closed testing with collectors and dealers recruited at live shows — then launch. The glasses companion follows the phone app.

Questions

Straight answers

Is this live scanning, like pointing my phone and seeing prices float?

No — and that's deliberate. CaseComp takes a still photo and does the heavy work properly: exact identification, tag reading, and real comp lookups in parallel. It takes a few minutes, and you get a push when it's ready. Accuracy beats floating numbers that are wrong fast.

What cards does it handle?

Sports cards and TCG (Pokémon included), raw and graded — slabs from PSA, SGC, BGS and others, each comped against its exact grader and grade only. Neat slab cases and messy mixed tables both work; the per-photo ceiling is 40 cards so every card stays legible enough to identify exactly.

Where do the prices come from?

Sold listings only — you pick eBay Sold, Card Ladder, or Both, plus your time window (7–365 days) and basis (Last Sale or Average). Every comp shows its source, sample size, window, and range. One honest caveat CaseComp is built around: public eBay sold prices overstate accepted Best Offer prices, so ranges are shown instead of false precision.

What if a card has no comp?

Then it says NO COMP — after automatically checking wider and wider windows out to two years. Where a defensible estimate exists, you may see a labeled range (EST) with its basis explained; estimates never inflate firm totals, and you can turn them off in Settings.

What if it reads a card or a price wrong?

Tap it. Ambiguous parallels open a picker showing each candidate with its own comp; a misread tag takes a typed correction. Either fix re-prices instantly with no re-scan. Anything the app can't pin down is flagged for you rather than guessed.

I'm a dealer. Is there a dealer plan?

No dealer tier — the dealer lens (Price My Table, Make an Offer, HOT, Trending, Worth Grading) is included in Pro at $9.99/mo. Power User at $19.99/mo is about scan volume, priority processing, and the deeper workflow tools (Trade Balancer, Inventory, Case Health, Buying List).
